WHY ARE OUR COURSES DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?

You may have noticed we offer more pool sessions than others. And yes! It's good. We believe practice and training is an essential part of becoming a confident and competent freediver. Relaxation, breathing, finning and safety technique are among the many skills one need to master before their trip to the island. Sufficient amount of pool training ensures strong foundation for a freediver to be able to excel fully in the sports in long run. We want our students to be able to enjoy the sports even after they have completed their courses. You will find our extensive course fun and challenging at the same time which makes freediving with us highly addictive and gives you a real sense of achievement at the end of the day.

OUR PARTNER

ADIP (Association Des Instructeurs de Plongée/ Diving Instructors Association) is an international diving association currently active in more than 50 countries over 5 continents. Relatively young, ADIP was established in 1997 by Jacky Marino with the help of other instructors coming from a wide range of different organizations (PADI, NAUI, IDEA, CMAS...). In 1998, ADIP is officially recognized by CEDIP ( European Committee of Diving Instructors ).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I join if I can’t swim?

Freediving, unlike scuba diving, is a relatively demanding sport and adequate swimming skill is needed. The course requires one to be able to swim 100 metres unassisted, non-stop in a pool setting. If you are unsure, we suggest that you join our DISCOVER FREEDIVING for RM60 (a 1.5-hr-session) to try out the sports before committing to a certification course.

I would like to take the Level 1 course. How do I register?

To register for the FREEFALL 1 course, please drop us a message and we shall email you the registration and medical declaration forms to start with.

When is the next intake?

We have one intake every month. We usually announce the next intake date on our website or you may register your interest and we will keep you updated.

When are the classes?

Classes are available on both weekdays and weekends. We currently conduct training for advanced freedivers on Wednesday morning and certification course on Saturday and Sunday, around mid-day.

What is the minimum age to join?

For certification course, one has to be at least 16 years old. While for DISCOVER FREEDIVING, we have had students as young as 8-year-old and as seasoned as 70-year-old.

Where are the pool classes being conducted?

We have several pool locations: Cheras UCSI campus and Seri Kembangan 3K sports centre are the major two.

I can’t hold my breath long; would I be able to freedive?

Don’t worry, leave it to us ;-)

Which freediving agency you are associated with?

ADIP. ADIP stands for Association Des Instructeurs de Plongée in French or Association of Diving Instructors. It is based in Belgium and is recognised by CEDIP (European Committee of Diving Instructors).

If I am an existing freediver from another agency and would like to crossover. How do I do it?

Certified freediver of equivalent level may continue their next level here (eg. A certified PADI beginner freediver may enrol in FREEFALL 2 programme.) We do require a single assessment chargeable at RM60 to evaluate your competency before you start your course. Additional training session(s) might be needed if we find it necessary.

How many students to one instructor?

Our instructor to student ratio is 1:4 or sometimes 2: 6 which includes an assistant instructor.

Do I need to buy/ rent the equipment?

Equipment rental is included in the course fee. You do not have to buy or pay extra until you feel ready to get your own equipment.

What do I need to bring for pool session/training?

Your swimwear, clothes to change, towel, drinking water, sun block and your inward power!
